Reinvent an Old Technology

You will notice that the tones of the flagpole are different than those of the usual wind chimes. Unlike wind chimes, the Banner Chimes uses hand tuned musical strings amplified through the wall of the flagpole tube. Because of this construction, which is like that of other stringed instruments, the Banner Chimes musical flagpole will continue making tones even if you touch it. This is not so with a normal wind chime-- touch it and it will stop vibrating. The amplification through the wall of the flagpole often will be extended through the surface structure onto which the Banner Chimes is mounted, giving an even fuller sound to enjoy.

The breeze is all that you need! No batteries are used for this product. The power of the wind does all of the work. What could be more natural than that? Special stainless clips connect the banner to two rotating clear sleeves on the pole. The clips provide sufficient leverage for the wind to start the rotation of the sleeves. Each of the rotating clear sleeves activates a different set of tuned strings inside the pole.

Since the sleeves rotate independently of each other, the flag still moves freely and naturally. Each of the rotating clear sleeves randomly activates a different set of tuned strings inside the pole. By having strings tuned to whole number pitch ratios, these instruments produce the natural musical tone combinations universally used in all cultures since the beginning of music itself.
